Student Seminar Series
DATE: Wednesday April 19th, 2017, 11:10am
LOCATION: MSB 1147 (Colloquium Room).
SPEAKERS: Matt Dowle, owner of data.table in R
TITLE: “Ask Me Anything”
ABSTRACT: I'll start by reviewing a few simple language-agnostic principles for dealing with large data in a statistical context. Then I'll review data.table syntax, recent developments and leave the floor open for questions. In my 20 year career I've worked mainly for American companies based in London and have seen many hundreds of CVs. Print out your CV and bring it along - I'm happy to demonstrate tips and tricks. If you have ideas and feedback for data.table, please don't hold back.
This seminar series is organized by PhD Students Irene Kim and Ozan Sonmez.
