Speaker: Professor David Brillinger (University of Califoria, Berkeley)
Title: Modelling and analyzing unevenly spaced measurements
Abstract: A general approach will be provided, based on point process methods, for handling process data that are irregularly spaced in their domain. Such data arise commonly in practice, sometimes due to missingness, design, measurement limitations or the behavior of a related process. Models and data analyses will be presented for such circumstances from fields including geography, animal movement, marine biology and oceanography.
