(The election was delayed for two years due to the Covid 19 pandemic, so it was in fact the 33rd Academicians election.)

We are very pleased to announce that Distinguished Professor Hans-Georg Müller has been selected to deliver the 2022 Rietz Lecture, one of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS) Special Lectures (https://imstat.org/ims-special-lectures/). He will deliver the lecture at the 2022 IMS Annual Meeting in London. The Rietz Lecture is given only every three years and is one of the highest academic honors bestowed by the IMS.
