UC Davis has been named in the top five of U.S. universities for number of undergraduate degrees granted in Statistics, according to the American Statistical Association.
In the December 2019 issue of Amstat News, it was reported that over the period of 2014-2018 UC Davis granted 530 Statistics bachelor's degrees, compared to 549 granted by UCLA and 990 by UC Berkeley. In fact over that period our major has shown considerable growth, rising from 54 graduates in 2014 to 179 graduates in 2018. There has been a substantial growth in the number of statistics and biostatistics degrees awarded nationally over the past decade, growing almost five-fold, reflecting the enormous interest in and importance of our field.
